Abstract

Abstract: “Expanding the scope of people receiving legal aid, with special attention
to disadvantaged and vulnerable groups in society” is a development orientation to
2030 set out in the Legal Aid Development Strategy in Vietnam under Decision No.
678/QD-TTg dated 10 May 2011 of the Prime Minister and Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW
dated 9 November 2022 of the 13th Party Central Committee. On the basis of these
orientations, the article analyses shortcomings in the current regulations on legal aid
beneficiaries, clarifies the aspects that require further improvement, and recommends
amendments to the provisions on beneficiaries of legal aid.
