Abstract

Abstract: “Proactive integration” is a policy that has been reflected in many
Resolutions of the Communist Party and has been implemented across various fields,
including human rights. Proactive integration in the field of human rights in Vietnam is
demonstrated through participation in and domestication of international treaties on
human rights; active involvement in the activities of the United Nations Human Rights
Council, the Universal Periodic Review mechanism, and other international human
rights activities; as well as proactive communication and public and international
dialogue on human rights. This article analyzes the legal foundations that ensure
proactive integration in human rights in Vietnam today and proposes legal orientations
for Vietnam to continue proactive integration in human rights in the new period.
Keywords: Human rights, proactive integration, legal foundations.
