CURRENT STATUS OF GENDER EDUCATION NTEGRATION FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN NATURAL AND SOCIAL SCIENCES, SCIENCE SUBJECTS IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN HANOI
Abstract
The gender education of primary school students has attracted considerable attention from various stakeholders, including researchers, families, schools and society. This education promotes understanding of fair and respectful treatment of children and promotes a safe and healthy school environment in which gender-related issues can be discussed. This in turn plays an important role in curbing gender-based violence and harassment while encouraging students to seek confidence when needed. The integration of gender education into primary school curriculum is essential. The aim of the study was to study the current status of gender education integration in primary education in the fields of natural and social sciences, sciences and literature. An interview and questionnaire with Google forms were conducted with106 teachers in several primary schools in Hanoi. The results of the survey provide a practical basis for primary school teachers, main stream school sand management levels to improve the integration of gender education in the teaching of natural sciences, social sciences and science subjects in primary schools.
