SPATIAL FORM IN MILORAD PAVIC’S DICTIONARY OF KHAZAR

Abstract

Abstract: Approaching narrative works from the spatial form is a research direction on how to organize non-chronological narratives of texts. In modern narrative works, space is exploited as a method of narrative organization. Dictionary novels are a bold experiment to break through the sequential nature of time, emphasizing the role of space in novels. Milorad Pavic's Dictionary of Khazar that is organized in the form of a dictionary adopting simultaneous narration, multi-perspective narration... has become a typical example of the spatial form of novels. Research on the spatial form in the Dictionary of Khazar contributes to the clarification of the role of space in narrative art.
