Abstract
This study focuses on explaining the chaos in Pamuk's novel Snow in the following aspects: Postmodern sense of reality and people, metafiction and the technique of pasting and mixing genres. Research results show that Pamuk worked hard to restore the history, culture and society of the late 20th century in Kars - a Turkish border city with fierce religious and political conflicts. In that context, people exist with a lost, unfamiliar mind and doubt about the existence of their own being. Hypertext and methods of pasting and mixing genres are fully utilized by Pamuk to increase the effect of chaos and fragmentation; At the same time, it stimulates readers to explore and create meaning for the text.
