Abstract

The practical method is an instructional approach that encourages active and engaged student participation. In the context of Natural and Social Sciences, practical activities assist students in developing skills by applying theoretical knowledge. This method enables teachers to identify students' difficulties and knowledge gaps, establishing a foundation to address and guide students toward comprehensive understanding, thereby fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment. Practical activities are regarded as a means to cultivate positive habits in students. They are implemented after teachers have sufficiently provided the necessary theoretical background for practical engagement. As such, teachers must possess expertise in designing practical activities to ensure effective and successful lessons. This approach aids students in acquiring knowledge, maintaining motivation, and attaining high academic achievements. Drawing on an exploration of practical methods, this paper focuses on elucidating the application of this approach in teaching the topic "Human and Health" in first-grade Natural and Social Sciences at primary schools, with the aim of enhancing teaching and learning effectiveness.
