MANAGEMENT OF TEACHING THE SUBJECT OF “CHARACTER - LIFE SKILLS EDUCATION” IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS OF VINSCHOOL EDUCATION SYSTEM, HANOI CITY
Abstract
Character - Life Skills Education (CLISE) is increasingly receiving attention from a large number of primary schools and is highly regarded for its contribution to developing social-emotional competencies, problem-solving skills, and life skills for students. It helps reinforce core competencies and character, enhance academic performance, and reduce undesirable behaviors in schools. This article provides an overview of some popular researches conducted in the world and Vietnam on the content of teaching character and life skills education for primary school students. It also discusses the roles of school principals in managing the teaching of this subject and factors influencing the implementation of skills and character education in Vinschool primary schools.
