STUDYING ON THE CUSTOM OF CONGRATULATING AN OFFICIAL FOR PASSING EXAMINATION: A CASE IN TU LIEM DISTRICT, HANOI CITY

Abstract

    Tu Liem district was one a typical locality for the tradition of examinations, typically the four villages "Mo, La, Canh, Cot - the four famous fragrances". Therefore, Tu Liem district is home to numerous prosperous families, many academic villages, many Confucianists, and almost every village and commune has established Literature association. And when in the family, in the village or in the Literary association, someone passes the academic exam, becomes an official or is promoted. Every one of them has congratulations ceremonies to recognize those who have achieved achievement while also showcasing the local custom of hard work and education advocacy. The encouragement of pupils to overcome obstacles, strive for excellence in learning to succeed, and establish positive traditions in the Tu Liem district is largely due to this study promotion.
