Border markets and local tourism potential ( case of Muong Khuong market, Lao Cai province)

Abstract

The Vietnam-China border area has long been inhabited by many different ethnic groups, the vast majority of whom are ethnic minorities. They also have their own ways of trading and exchanging goods, creating markets for their own communities. The typical trading centers in this area are the border markets. Muong Khuong Market (Muong Khuong District, Vietnam) is one of the typical markets in the Vietnam-China border area. Researching of Muong Khuong market contributes to creating a community-connected tourist destination that promises to attract tourists to developing VIetnamese local cultural tourism.
