Languages behaviors of children with autism spectrum disorder aged 5-6 at specialized educational institutions: Current situation and commentary
Abstract
This study focuses on investigating the language behaviors of 5-6 year old children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in specialized educational institutions. Using both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods such as surveys, interviews, and direct observations, the results indicate that children with ASD face significant difficulties in developing language skills like imitation, requesting, naming, and language comprehension. These challenges severely impact the children’s ability to communicate and integrate into society. The study emphasizes the importance of individualized intervention programs and the collaboration between teachers and parents in developing language behaviors for children with ASD, helping them improve communication skills and effectively participate in social and educational activities.
