Using images to enhance English vocabulary for first-year non-major students at Hanoi Metropolitan University

Abstract

The study was conducted through a survey of 62 first-year non-major students at Hanoi Metropolitan University to understand the current situation of using images to improve English vocabulary through a direct questionnaire. The research results not only help lecturers innovate their English teaching methods but also assist students in enhancing the quality of their English vocabulary learning, meeting the requirements of the program's learning outcomes as well as the demands of future career orientation. Based on this, the authors' group proposes several measures for using images to improve vocabulary, helping students realize the importance of learning English vocabulary in general and English in particular as an international language.
