Research on the development of quality cultural values at Hanoi Metropolitan University in the current period

Abstract

In the history of the nation with more than 4,000 years of building and defending the country, more than 1,000 years of Northern domination and more than 100 years of fighting against colonial imperialism, thanks to the national spirit, patriotism, desire for peace, desire for freedom, Vietnam has stood up together, repelled foreign invaders, bringing independence and freedom to the nation. After more than 1,000 years of Northern domination, our country still retains its national cultural identity, has its own language and writing, creating traditional cultural values ​​that the world must respect, which is the will to never surrender to the enemy. In Vietnam's current development stage, the issue of building cultural values ​​is one of the extremely urgent requirements, ensuring the country's sustainable development. At the 2021 National Cultural Conference, the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed that culture must be placed on par with economics, politics and society. This is not only an affirmation but also a "guideline" for researching and building cultural values, especially quality culture in agencies and units in Vietnam in general and at Capital University in particular. This is a requirement that is both urgent and long-term, and has important implications for the development of the School in the coming time.
