CURRENT STATUS OF EDUCATION PROGRAMS AND PLANS FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES AND CONDITIONS ENSURED AT CENTERS SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION IN HAI DUONG PROVINCE (BEFORE THE MERGER)

Abstract

With the promulgation of legal documents of the State on the establishment of centers to support the development of inclusive education, the highest being the Law on Persons with Disabilities 2010, many localities, organizations and individuals have established and organized activities of this type of center at different levels (currently at provincial/municipal and commune/ward levels). The establishment of centers in localities has effectively supported inclusive education for children with disabilities at the center and at schools where children with disabilities study inclusively. The core contents to ensure the operation of the center to support the development of inclusive education are the program, plan for educating children with disabilities and conditions to ensure human resources such as teachers, conditions of facilities, equipment and coordination between relevant parties. The content of the article focuses on assessing the current status of the research problem at 05 centers supporting the development of inclusive education, 12 primary and secondary schools in Hai Duong province (before the merger) with a total of 384 survey subjects. Based on the survey results, the article makes some recommendations for the centers, contributing to further improving the quality of intervention, therapy and education of children with disabilities at the center and the quality of the center's support activities for inclusive education for schools with children with disabilities.
