Abstract: Lesson Study-based professional development is a model of continuous teacher professional learning aimed at improving teaching quality and fostering the development of a professional learning community in primary schools. This article presents the core components of Lesson Study-oriented professional activities in the context of building learning communities in primary schools. These include: general issues related to learning communities, developing professional communities through Lesson Study, and organizing professional learning activities based on Lesson Study to support the formation of learning communities in primary schools. The article also provides processes and techniques for implementing Lesson Study-based professional development, along with key considerations to ensure its effectiveness in enhancing and sustaining learning communities. This approach supports primary schools in promoting continuous professional development for teachers and establishing sustainable learning communities to improve the overall quality of education.
