THE REALITY AND SOLUTIONS: AN ANALYSIS OF THE EMPLOYMENT STATUS OF GRADUATES FROM HANOI METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY

Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the employment situation of graduates from Hanoi Metropolitan University during the period from 2022 to 2024. The study is based on the collection and analysis of secondary data from the university’s official graduate employment survey reports. The key aspects evaluated include the post-graduation employment rate, the distribution of employment sectors, the relevance between students’ fields of study and their actual jobs, as well as the difficulties and challenges that graduates face in the labor market. The analysis shows that the university’s graduate employment rate has remained high and stable, reflecting the effectiveness of its training programs and the alignment of its academic disciplines with social demands. However, the study also highlights notable challenges related to the mismatch between fields of study and job positions, as well as the low starting salaries of a portion of graduates. Based on these findings, the article proposes solutions to improve graduates’ employability, thereby contributing to enhancing the quality of training and career guidance.
