SUSTAINABLE EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT IN MU CANG CHAI HIGHLAND COMMUNE, LAO CAI PROVINCE IN THE CONTEXT OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
Abstract
The article focuses on examining the current situation and proposing solutions for sustainable education development in Mu Cang Chai – a highland commune in Lao Cai Province, one of the most disadvantaged areas in Vietnam – amid the rapid progress of digital transformation. Based on the theoretical framework of sustainable education and digital transformation, the study conducts surveys and analyzes influencing factors, then proposes a comprehensive set of solutions, including: (1) Improving education policies and management; (2) Developing digital infrastructure and technology; (3) Enhancing digital competencies for teachers, students, and the community; (4) Integrating education with local culture; and (5) Promoting long-term development and multi-dimensional collaboration. The research results provide scientific and practical evidence to support policymaking and the implementation of sustainable education models in highland areas during the digital era.
