Abstract
Cultural assets play an important role in everyday life of the people and
significantly contribute to sustainable development of an ethnic group. This article is to
provide some scientific background on current situation of cultural assets change related
to livelihoods of Ca Dong people in the resettlement area of Song Tranh No.2 hydroelectric
project, in Tra Bui commune, Bac Tra My district, Quang Nam province,. This would be
helpful to policy makers to have appropriate solutions that would enable Ca Dong people
to promote positive factors, and at the same time, to mitigate factors that hinder
development so as to stabilize and restore livelihoods of the Ca Dong post-resettlement.
