ORGANIZING EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING ACTIVITIES TO TEACHING HISTORY FOR GRADES 4 – 5 IN THE NEW GENERAL EDUCATIONAL CURRICULUM

Abstract

Experiential learning activities have been compulsory requirements in the
general educational curriculum unveiled in 2018. Students who attend these activities will
be challenged in various essential qualities and competencies. However, it is true that not
all History teachers seem to be fully aware of the need of experiential activities. According
to the role of these activities in teaching History, this article will propose several solutions
to enhance the organization of experiential learning activities in teaching History for
students at Grade 4 and Grade 5 in the new general educational curriculum.
