Abstract
The General Education 2018 program specifically focuses on the development of
students’ competencies from the primary level. It is required that teachers flexibly apply
different teaching methods and forms to suit different needs, backgrounds and abilities of
primary students in order to help them achieve expected goals. The paper presents how to
apply differentiated instruction to designing learning tasks and organizing learning
activities to develop students' competencies in teaching Mathematics in primary schools.
This research results could be references for lecturers who teach Mathematics
Methodology in Primary School, some Primary Education majored students and other
primary school teachers during their teaching and learning process
