CURRENT SITUATION OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY OF LECTURERS AT HANOI METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY AND RELATED ISSUES IN THE CONTEXT OF INDUSTRY 4.0

Abstract

he fourth industrial revolution has been affecting all aspects of social life. It
also has been opening many opportunities and challenges for all the fieds of life. For higher
education, the orientation and adjustment in teaching and scientific research must be
requrired. In order to meet its demands, lecturers must have ability to work in international
environment especially using foreign language skills. Therefore, this article focuses on
analyzing as following: Fistly, foreign language proficiency requirements for university
lecturers. Secondly, current situation of foreign language capacity and training and
fostering activities to improve foreign language capacity of lectures and the last one is
recommendations to improve the foreign language capacity of lecturers of Hanoi
Metropolitan University
