APPLICATION FOR THE ACTIVE GROUP TEACHING APPROACH TO MAJORED ENGLISH STUDENTS AT HA NOI METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY

Abstract
Based on the research results of 54 third-year major English students at Hanoi Metropolitan University participating in the active group teaching approach for studying the course Introduction to Interpretation and Translation, we found that the active group teaching approach helps students be more interested and proactive in acquiring knowledge, as well as recognize the importance of English as an international language. The research results have shown a great impact not only on the above-mentioned course, but also on other courses in the training programs of the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
