CURRENT SITUATION OF EMPLOYMENT FOR GRADUATED TEACHER AND THE PROCEDURE OF DEVELOPING TEACHER PROGRAMS ACCORDING TO THE PROFESSION-ORIENTED HIGHER EDUCATION (POHE)
Abstract
According to a survey by the Ministry of Education and Training and a number of pedagogical universities nationwide, the current employment rate of pedagogical students after graduation is about 80.6%. Compared with the rate of 86-90% of graduates from other majors, the employment rate of pedagogical students is still relatively low. In addition to the objective cause of the working environment, a subjective cause is that the quality of teacher training does not meet societal demands. Orientation, construction and innovation in training students towards a profession-oriented higher education (POHE) are being implemented by universities and have shown very good results. The article studies documents, compares, synthesizes and analyzes issues related to the current employment status of pedagogical students after graduation. Based on this, several recommendations are proposed for developing teacher training programs with profession-oriented higher education to enhance the professional competencies of students at the Ha Noi Metropolitan university
