Abstract

When thinking about Hanoi's traditional crafts, silk immediately comes to mind. The fertile land along the Nhuệ and Đáy rivers has made Hà Đông famous for its weaving industry for centuries. Today, Hà Đông is renowned for its high-quality textiles, including silk, brocade, satin, ramie, and more. Hà Đông silk has gained international recognition. While the Vạn Phúc Silk Village has become a bustling tourist destination, La Khê village has undergone significant changes and risks losing its heritage. As a result, the weaving craft of the/Sa silk is gradually vanishing. Visiting La Khe, leaving behind the hustle and bustle, one must try to find and listen carefully to hear the creaking of looms from the only remaining weaving workshop of artisan Le Dang Toan, still operating day and night. La Khe products have always had unique characteristics. They are long famous for natural silk materials and exquisite handweaving techniques that create thin, soft, fabulous fabrics that don't crack or wrinkle, providing a comfortable feeling for wearers. Synchronized solutions are needed to revive and develop the craft village and prevent its disappearance. First, support from local authorities is necessary. Additionally, encouraging villagers, especially the younger generation, to learn about and participate in the weaving craft is crucial. Simultaneously, there's a need to promote La Khe silk products in domestic and international markets, enhancing the value of the 'sa/the' silk weaving craft in connection with the capital's tourism development.
