ORGANIZING FESTIVALS TO DEVELOP SPIRITUAL TOURISM IN BA VI DISTRICT, HANOI: CURRENT SITUATION AND SOLUTIONS

Abstract

Ba Vi has rich natural resources with many unique historical-cultural relics
which has been aged for many years and characterized by 3 ethnic groups of Kinh, Muong
and Dao. This, therefore, could be a great potential for Ba Vi to develop spiritual tourism.
Many festivals taken place in the district annually attracts a large number of local people
and visitors. The organization and the management of festivals have been a concern of the
authorities at all levels and also achieved some remarkable results such as maintaining
and organizing these festivals stably and effectively. However, the organization of festivals
in the district still has some limitations that need to be solved and proposed solutions to
improve the quality and the attractiveness of festivals as well as positively contribute to the
development of spiritual tourism in Ba Vi district.
