Abstract

Unemployment insurance is an important component of social security, playing a vital role in supporting workers by stabilizing and maintaining the livelihoods of those who are unemployed or have unstable incomes. Currently, the policy on occupational insurance is being updated and refined in the Draft Law on Employment. This article analyzes the regulations concerning the subjects participating in occupational insurance under the Draft Law on Employment (amended), in comparison with the Law on Employment 2013. It also proposes adding foreign workers in Vietnam to the group of subjects eligible for occupational insurance, drawing on the experiences of Chinese and Thai laws.
