The role of social work in assisting disadvantaged children in Da Nang City

Abstract

This study analyzes the current situation of social work activities in helping disadvantaged children in Da Nang city. The research results show that there are more than 2700 children in special circumstances in Da Nang city. Da Nang has also focused on supporting children in special circumstances and brought practical results. However, the task of supporting children in special circumstances still faces many difficulties such as: the risk of being unsafe for children in the community; abuse, violence against children, the situation of children in inviolation with the law, children with injuries. The paper also proposes solutions to enhance the role of social work in supporting children with disabilities in Da Nang City today.
