COMPUTER PROGRAM PROTECTION UNDER JAPANESE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW AND EXPERIENCE FOR VIETNAM

Abstract

The article analyzes the protection of computer programs under Japanese law under two mechanisms: patent protection and copyright protection. From there, a number of assessments are made about the advantages and limitations of these two mechanisms of protection in order to perfect the regulations on computer program protection in Vietnam.
