Abstract

The establishment of certification marks for local specialties plays a crucial role in protecting intellectual property and exploiting the commercial value of key regional products. Based on an analysis of the current situation regarding the registration and exploitation of certification marks for local specialties in Vietnam, this study identifies existing legal and practical challenges in their implementation. Drawing on practical experiences from Quang Ninh Province and Hue City, the paper proposes several recommendations aimed at improving the legal framework for establishing certification marks and enhancing the effectiveness and sustainability of exploiting  and  developing  local specialties after protection in Vietnam.
