Using the resultants to identify the intersection multiplicity of the two curves in

Abstract

A and  B are supposed to be the two curves in ,and they do not have the same irreducible compositions. The problem we are interested in is to determine the intersection multiplicity of  and  and the relationship between the intersection multiplicity with the degrees of their reduced equations. In this paper, we will present the use of resultants to solve the above problem.
