Spectral characteristics of luminescent glass BaO - B2O3 - SiO2 doped Dy2O3
Abstract
Photoluminescent glass materials with the ratio of 32 BaO –23B2O3 - (45 - x) SiO2 - xDy2O3 (in which x = 1.0 and 1.5), made by solid state phase reaction method. Excitation spectra and luminescent spectroscopy confirm that Dy3+ ions act as both an absorption center and a luminescent center. The color coordinate value of luminescent light shows that it is feasible to make white light LEDs of the materials.
