Some characteristics of the duck cholera in Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province
Abstract
In 2016, there were 230 cholera-infected ducks, of which 91 died. The mortality rate was 0.07%. In 2017, the number of cholera-infected ducks was 6200, and 5537 of those died, the mortality rate was 7.42%. The epidemic appeared in January, February and May. January and February are adjoining each other to set up the plague season. The typical symptoms are diarrhea, morose, standing still, having wings limp, conjunctivitis, salivating. The common symptoms are arduous breathing, head edema, fear of water. The typical properties of the duck cholera varied from 80 to 100%. In which, the most typical ones such as hemorrhage gastric, intestinal inflammation, hemorrhage and necrosis liver are of highest appearance percentage (100%).
