Adding some Phu Yen Cham H’roi and Ede’s folk-songs to the music trainning curriculum at Phu Yen University
Abstract
Phu Yen ethnic minorities’ folk-songs are rich in themes and lyrics. They are valuable arts works in the fields of literature as well as music. Adding some Phu Yen ethnic minorities’ folk-songs to the music trainning curriculum at Phu Yen University will help students understand and love their homeland’s valuable heritages.
Based on the characteristics of Phu Yen ethnic minorities’ folk-songs, the author suggests some criteria for choosing folk-songs and how to use them in the music credits.
