Google Classroom in Online Teaching to EFL Students in Phu Yen University

Abstract

This paper describes a small-scale study regarding the use of Google Classroom (GC) in an authentic teaching environment for EFL students in Foreign Languages Department, Phu Yen University. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring their own points of view towards the application of GC in online classes. The outcomes of the questionnaire indicated the students’ attitude in terms of its positive and negative sides, then were analyzed and categorized in groups. The findings indicated that GC changed the nature of the classroom in a positive way. However, there were also some opposite opinions. Some students’ suggestions for improving the application on teaching and learning were also mentioned and discussed.
