ALUMINUM COATED ON METAL NiSix NANOWIRES WORKS AS AN ANODE MATERIAL FOR LITHIUM BATTERY
Abstract
Aluminum (Al) is quite cheap, friendly with people and environment. Al combines with lithium (Li) ions in many different alloys such as AlLi, Al2Li3, Al4Li9… Every alloy has a different value of Li ion capacity, for Al4Li9 the capacity can reach 2235 mAh/g. Based on this background Al is a very big potential material for researching and development in battery application. In this manuscript, we introduce a new anode structure for Li battery based on the combination between Al and metal NiSix nanowires under core-shell structure.
