Characteristics and development trends of the US – Japan relationship after the cold war
Abstract
United States - Japan is one of the important relationships in the world nowadays, which has been built and developed over many decades. After the end of the Cold War, the US - Japan relationship has been changing in nature, which has tremendous impact to the world situation. Although the conflict is hidden, deep, long and hard to avoid disputes, however, it can be predicted about the development trend of the US - Japan relationship in the early decades of the XXI century to be maintained within the “strategic alliances” framework, and continue to operate under the current framework.
