TAY NGUYEN CULTURAL IDENTITY IN NIE THANH MAI'S SHORT STORIES

Abstract

Nie Thanh Mai is a female Ede writer, currently working and living in Buon Me Thuot, Dak Lak. In her published short stories, Nie Thanh Mai consistently aims at recognizing the distinction of Tay Nguyen culture. Through her works, readers can visualize explicitly and vividly from the stilt house and the stairs to the wine, the food, the lifestyles and the traditions of the Ede. That is also Nie Thanh Mai’s difference as well as similarity within the context of contemporary Vietnamese ethnic minority literature.
