Probabilistic models of significant wave height deployed to study the coastal zone wave regimes in Phu Yen

Abstract

In this work, several models describing the wave height probability are tested and evaluated, aiming at finding the typical wave height distribution function in Phu Yen coastal zone. The final wave height distribution was selected based on multiple criteria and the proposed distribution outperformed the other parametric models tested and optimally described.
