Sustainable Ecotourism Urban Development Planning Approach - The Case of Sa Pa Ward.
Abstract
This article presents a sustainable ecotourism urban development planning approach based on the case of Sa Pa Ward, considered a high-class ecotourism city. The article also emphasizes the concepts, objectives, planning principles, as well as the structure and form of a sustainable ecotourism city. In this type of city, people can live, work, practice tourism, and enjoy leisure activities in a unique ecological and cultural space… An ecotourism city is an urban space that rationally utilizes resources and creates tourism products closely linked to nature and local culture. In an eco-tourism city, people can live, work, and engage in tourism and recreation within a unique ecological and cultural space at appropriate distances, and transportation within the city must be green, such as walking, cycling, electric motorbikes, and environmentally friendly public transport (with the Ecocity movement as the main focus).
