Research on working modes of Switched Reluctance Machine SRM-2x550

Abstract

Switched Reluctance Machine is a machine which was known from the 90s of the 19th century but its developement and application was limited because of these disadvantages such as undulating torque, high level of noises when running, more difficult to control. The rapid development of semiconductor and microcontroller technologies have changed the industry reality and daily life of people. This rapid development have also influenced to the advancement of the Switched Reluctance Machine (SRM). The paper presents studies on the working modes and switching cycle of the SRM, verifying through experimental results for the SRM-2x550 kW.
