Study on the effect of water temperature, washing time and spin speed on shrinkage of 2/1 twill weave khaki fabric
Abstract
Shrinkage of the fabric is one of the important factors affecting product quality during use. The washing technology parameters directly affect the shrinkage of the fabric. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the appropriate washing technology parameters to minimize the shrinkage of the fabric when used. This paper presents the results of research on the influence of water temperature (0C), washing time (minutes), rotational speed (rpm) on the vertical and horizontal shrinkage of 2/1 twill khaki fabric. Research shows that the optimal parameters of the laundry process: Water temperature: 600C, washing time: 45 minutes, spin speed: 1200 rpm, the shrinkage of the fabric in the longitudinal direction is 5,0%, the shrinkage in the horizontal direction is 3,2%. This result is the basis for selecting finishing processing technology parameters and designing garment products using 2/1 twill khaki fabric.
