Study on capacity adsorption of methylene blue ion in water of materials prepared from Truc Thon clay and rice husk ash
Abstract
This study is to evaluate the removal ability of methylene blue (MB) dyes in water bymaterial (SR) made from Truc Thon clay and rice husk ash. Factors affecting methylene blue adsorption capacity of SR were investigated including: pH, mass of adsorbent, adsorbent concentration, adsorption time. Adsorption kinetics were studied by the isothermal adsorption models of Langmuir and Freundlich. The results showed that: when the mass of adsorbent was 1g/l, the MB adsorption efficiency reached of 80% at the temperature of 250C, pH = 8, the initial concentration of MB was 40 (mg/l) and 60 minutes. Maximum adsorption concentration was qmax = 26,73(mg/g). Experimental results showed that the adsorption process follows the Langmuir and Freundlich models with the correlation coefficient R2 reaches of 0,9904 và 0,9851.
