Using language games to improve the quality of training English at Sao Do University

Abstract

In today's modern society, English plays a particularly important role, as a bridge connecting the community, linking social relationships, collaborating in work, etc. Recognizing that importance, in Universities in general, and Sao Do University in particular, English teachers have been applying and innovating methods and forms of teaching English such as using language games to create excitement, increase students’ initiatives therefore they can acquire knowledge actively. The article has stated the authors’ research results on the current situation of using language games in teaching English and found that besides the positives, there are still some limitations. From that, the article has proposed some requirements and solutions to increase the effectiveness of using language games to improve the quality of training English at Sao Do University.
