READING CULTURE FROM THE SYSTEMATICAL ASPECT OF A CULTURE

Abstract

Reading culture has increasingly been discussed on newspapers and scientific forums since the last two decades in Vietnam. However, there is no single definition or understanding of the concept of “reading culture” which is widely accepted, in particular from the perpective of the cultural studies. Through the systematical approach with the view of cultural studies, the paper aims to contribute one more perception on the concept of reading culture and considers it as a sub-system of a culture. The paper will discuss the elements of a reading culture and the organic relation among elements that forms the pattern of reading culture of a community.
