General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s Thoughts on Preventing and Fighting Corruption and Negativity

Abstract

The recent book by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Chair of the Central  Steering Committee on Anti-corruption is considered the ultimate guide the campaign against corruption and negativity in Vietnam. Studying General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s keynote speeches which were selected and published in the book, the article aims to provide an overview, refine and clarify the breakthrough ideology of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in his leadership on the fight against corruption and demonstrate some lessons learned from the practice of directing the fight against corruption and negativity in Vietnam during the period 2012-2022.
