About the Journal

The Vietnam Association of Diabetes Educators is a socio-professional organization of Vietnamese individuals and institutions interested in education, prevention, and treatment in the fields of endocrinology, metabolism, diabetes, related disorders, chronic diseases, and common non-communicable diseases. The Association aims to unite, support, and promote its members nationwide through professional training, knowledge dissemination, and capacity building. It also organizes patient education activities to improve practical knowledge for people living with endocrine, metabolic, and diabetes-related conditions, while contributing to community health education, the development of endocrinology and metabolism, and the protection and improvement of public health in Vietnam.

About the Journal

The Vietnam Journal of Endocrinology and Health Science (VJEHS) is the official journal of the Vietnam Association of Diabetes Educators. The Journal operates under Press License No. 375/GP-BTTTT, issued on 11 July 2016, and Amended and Supplemented Press License No. 315/GP-BTTTT, issued on 31 August 2023.

Aims and Scope

The Journal was established to disseminate knowledge and strengthen professional practice in the fields of endocrinology, diabetes, metabolism, related disorders, chronic diseases, common non-communicable diseases, and public health. It publishes scientific research, educational programs, professional exchanges, and updated knowledge related to the diagnosis, treatment, management, and education of endocrine and metabolic diseases, diabetes, and associated chronic conditions.

The Journal also serves as an academic and professional forum for specialists in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolic disorders, and as a platform that facilitates communication among healthcare professionals, diabetes educators, patients, and the wider community. In addition, it provides information on professional activities, international experience, and current developments in disease prevention, treatment, and health care.

Readership

The Journal serves the following readership groups:

  • Members of the Vietnam Association of Diabetes Educators;
  • Physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals working in endocrinology, diabetes, metabolism, related disorders, chronic diseases, and common non-communicable diseases;
  • Organizations and individuals interested in health education, disease prevention, and the dissemination of medical knowledge in these fields.

Article Processing Charges / Publication Fee Policy

The Journal applies an article processing and peer review fee of VND 1,500,000 per manuscript. This fee is intended to support editorial handling, peer review, manuscript processing, and publication management.

However, in order to encourage authors and promote academic contribution, the Journal has adopted a publication fee waiver policy for the year 2026. Accordingly, all accepted articles published in 2026 will be exempt from publication charges.

Any changes to the Journal’s fee policy will be publicly announced on the official website.

Publication Ethics and Academic Integrity Policy

The Journal of Endocrine Health implements a transparent and rigorous policy on publication ethics and academic integrity in order to ensure the scientific quality, transparency, and reliability of the articles it publishes.

Policy on the Detection and Handling of Plagiarism

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal are screened by appropriate means to detect plagiarism, unattributed copying, content duplication, self-plagiarism, and any improper use of source materials that fails to meet accepted academic standards before they enter peer review or proceed to editorial decision.

If a manuscript is found to show signs of misconduct, the Journal reserves the right to:

  • reject the submission;
  • require the author(s) to provide an explanation, revise the manuscript, or add appropriate citations;
  • suspend the peer review or publication process;
  • notify the relevant authorities or affiliated institutions where necessary and in accordance with applicable regulations.

Policy on Retraction, Correction, and Erratum

The Journal applies a policy of retraction, correction, or public erratum for published articles when serious errors or violations of publication ethics are identified, including but not limited to the following cases:

  • plagiarism or copyright infringement;
  • academic misconduct;
  • fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data;
  • misleading citation practices or inaccurate source attribution;
  • duplicate publication;
  • serious errors that affect the scientific value or conclusions of the article.

Any retraction, correction, or erratum will be carried out in a transparent manner and accompanied by an official notice from the Journal in order to preserve the integrity of the publication record.

Conflict of Interest Policy

The Journal requires authors, reviewers, and members of the Editorial Board to disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the evaluation, editorial handling, publication decision, or interpretation of research findings.

Conflicts of interest may include financial interests, professional relationships, personal relationships, research funding, or any other factors that may compromise objectivity and academic independence. The Journal reserves the right to request further clarification and to take appropriate action if conflicts of interest are not disclosed or are disclosed incompletely.

Copyright and Publishing Rights Policy

Authors submitting manuscripts to the Journal must confirm that the submission is an original work and does not infringe any intellectual property rights, copyright, related rights, or any other lawful rights of third parties.

The Journal does not accept for publication any manuscript involving one or more of the following:

  • copyright infringement;
  • unauthorized copying or use of text, images, tables, figures, or data;
  • academic fraud or misconduct;
  • fake, fabricated, or materially manipulated data;
  • misleading citation or misrepresentation of references;
  • simultaneous submission to multiple journals without full disclosure in accordance with publication requirements.

Authors bear full responsibility for the legality, accuracy, and integrity of the content of their manuscripts. Once an article has been accepted for publication, its use, distribution, and publication shall be governed by the Journal’s copyright policy and relevant publishing regulations.

Principle of Non-Acceptance of Academic Misconduct

The Journal strictly does not accept manuscripts or published articles that involve:

  • plagiarism;
  • copyright infringement;
  • research or publication misconduct;
  • fabrication or falsification of data;
  • manipulation of data in a manner that distorts results;
  • misleading citation or dishonest referencing;
  • concealment of conflicts of interest;
  • any other conduct contrary to accepted standards of scientific publication ethics.

Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, the Journal may take actions including rejection of the manuscript, suspension of peer review, withdrawal of acceptance, retraction of a published article, or notification to the relevant institutions or authorities.
