Commentary on the draft resolution of the national assembly on mechanisms and policies to address challenges and obstacles in the implementation of the Land Law
Abstract
The 2024 Land Law, enacted by the National Assembly, marks a significant milestone in the process of improving Vietnam’s legal framework on land management, aiming for more efficient, sustainable, and equitable use of land resources. However, after more than a year of implementation, the Law still reveals certain shortcomings that require further study, evaluation, and recommendations for refinement to meet the demands of socio-economic development and to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of land users. The article analyzes several legal issues in the 2024 Land Law and the Draft Resolution of the National Assembly on certain mechanisms and policies to address challenges and obstacles in its implementation, with the aim of providing recommendations for improving legal regulations.
