Abstract

Facing the demands of national governance in the New Era (an era of national advancement), this article elucidates the requirements for a scientific, suitable, effective, and efficient national governance model. This stems from the major policies of the Communist Party of Vietnam aiming to transform Vietnam into a developed country within the next two decades. On that basis, the author recommends a national governance model that integrates elements of traditional socialist governance, the “developmental state” and “regulatory governance” for Vietnam.
