The group of factors related to planner’capacity affecting the construction investment cost of system of irrigation works

Abstract

The group of factors related to planner’s capacity has a significant impact on the construction investment costs of irrigation projects in Vietnam. Factors such as the investor's financial issues, topographic and geological surveys, selection of construction technology, project design, legal aspects, and the coordination ability among stakeholders all play an important role in determining the investment costs for irrigation projects. The objective of this study is to identify the factors within the planner’s capacity group that directly affect the increase in construction investment costs. To optimize construction investment costs, managers and stakeholders must carry out thorough planning from the early stages to minimize risks and ensure economic efficiency for irrigation projects. Based on this, recommendations will be made to improve these issues in order to reduce unforeseen costs and enhance the management efficiency of construction investment costs for irrigation projects
