Abstract

In recent years, the use of 3D concrete printing has significantly increased in the construction industry. However, the application and mechanical properties of printed concrete still depend on many influencing factors. The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of the bond between layers on the mechanical behavior affecting workability: compression, bending, and interlayer bonding. The mechanical properties of 3D printed concrete specimens were tested, and the results showed that the compressive and flexural strength strongly depends on the load direction applied to the layer surfaces. The analysis model of the specimens was carried out using the finite element method tool to further confirm the accuracy of the experimental results
