Management of landscape architectural space in universities in the hanoi capital region within the context of green development
Abstract
Landscape architectural space in universities is increasingly recognized as a strategic structural component in the transformation of higher education toward sustainable development. Rather than being understood as a neutral physical backdrop, space is approached as an integrated academic organization form, where ecological, social, and educational elements are tightly interwoven within the operational structure of the institution.
This study employs a method of document analysis and synthesis to systematize the theoretical foundation for managing landscape architectural space in universities located in the Hanoi Capital Region, within the context of green development. The research focuses on conceptual clarification, the identification of appropriate guiding principles, and an analysis of the relationship between spatial organization and sustainable development goals in higher education. From this perspective, space management is no longer seen as a purely technical operation but as a strategic process aligned with the institution's holistic development orientation. Consequently, landscape architectural space becomes a medium for expressing educational philosophy and institutional adaptability within a major urban center such as Hanoi.
